CartAgent ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered customer support agent for e-commerce stores ("Service"). By installing or using the Service, you ("Merchant") agree to these Terms of Service.
CartAgent is a Shopify application that uses artificial intelligence to respond to your customers' inquiries about orders, products, returns, and general support topics. The Service integrates with your Shopify store to access order data, product catalogs, and customer information as needed to generate responses.
You must have an active Shopify store to use the Service. Access is granted through Shopify's OAuth mechanism. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service to mislead customers or generate deceptive content; (b) attempt to circumvent AI safety guardrails; (c) use the Service to process data unrelated to your e-commerce operations; (d) resell or sublicense access to the Service.
Responses generated by the Service are produced by AI models and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated responses before they are sent to customers if your confidence threshold is set to auto-send. We provide confidence scoring and human review queues to help you maintain quality control.
The Service offers tiered subscription plans billed through Shopify's billing system or Stripe. Free trials are available. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to Shopify's refund policies for app charges.
We process customer data solely to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection, storage, and retention. We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and Shopify's data protection requirements.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime, AI inaccuracies, or delayed responses. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, we will delete your data within 30 days unless legally required to retain it. You may request immediate data deletion through Shopify's GDPR data erasure process or by contacting us.
We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
